What's in the $149 weight loss consultation

A visit with something to show for it.

Most people arrive having already tried several things. What they usually haven't had is a clear picture of what their body is actually doing — how much of their weight is muscle, whether their thyroid is keeping up, where their insulin sits. That's what this visit is for.

  • Clinical history. What you've tried, what worked, what didn't, and what's changed. We read the whole arc, not the last six weeks.

  • Body composition baseline. Lean mass, body fat, and visceral fat, measured rather than estimated from the scale.

  • A review with your clinician. Your results, explained in plain language, with what they mean for you specifically.

  • A written plan. What to do next, in what order, and when to come back and re-measure.

Lab work, when your clinician recommends it, is drawn on site. Lab fees are not included in the $149 — we'll tell you what's recommended and what it costs before anything is run.

You leave with your numbers and a plan. What comes after that is a clinical decision we make together, once we know what we're working with.

What we measure

The scale is one number. It isn't the useful one.

Two people can weigh the same and be in completely different metabolic situations. These are the measurements that tell us which one you're in.

Lean mass

Muscle drives your metabolic rate. Losing it is how people end up heavier a year later than when they started.

Body fat percentage

Separates fat loss from weight loss. They are not the same thing, and only one of them is the goal.

Visceral fat

The fat around your organs, which carries more metabolic risk than what you can see.

Thyroid panel

An underactive thyroid makes weight loss harder and is frequently missed.

Hormone panel

Estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone all affect where your body stores fat and how well it holds muscle.

Insulin and metabolic markers

Shows how your body is handling glucose, which shapes what approach is likely to work.

After your consultation, most patients check in monthly so we can re-measure — progress is something we can see rather than something we assume.

How it works

Four steps.

Step 01

Book.

Online or by phone. Most people are seen the same week or the next.

Step 02

Come in.

Your consultation takes about 45 minutes at our Meridian office. It's led by Oakleigh Kearby, RN, who works under the direction of our medical provider.

Step 03

Review your results.

You sit down and walk through what the numbers say and what they don't.

Step 04

Leave with a plan.

Written, specific, and built around your results rather than a template.

Office hours are 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. No membership required to be assessed. No commitment beyond the visit itself.

Who this is for

This visit is a good fit if…

  • You've lost weight before and gained it back, and you want to understand why.
  • Your weight has changed and nothing about your habits has.
  • You're tired, your sleep is off, or your energy doesn't match your effort.
  • You want to know where you actually stand before deciding anything.
  • You've been handed a plan somewhere else without anyone measuring you first.

If you're not sure whether this is the right starting point, call us at (208) 268-8851 — we'll tell you honestly.

Good questions

Before you book.

What does the $149 cover?

The consultation itself: clinical history, body composition measurement, and a review with your clinician. Lab work, if your clinician recommends it, is drawn on site — lab fees are not included in the $149.

Is this visit in person?

Yes. Everything happens at our Meridian office at 2667 E. Gala Ct., Suite 110. If lab work is recommended, it's drawn here, and your results are reviewed with you face to face.

Do I need to be a member?

No. The assessment stands on its own, and you're under no obligation afterward.

How soon can I be seen?

Usually within the same week or the next. Our office is open 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, and the visit takes about 45 minutes.

Who will I see?

Your consultation is with Oakleigh Kearby, RN, who sees patients under the direction of our medical provider.

What happens after the consultation?

You'll get a written plan based on your results. What that plan involves depends entirely on what we find — which is the reason we measure first rather than starting everyone in the same place. From there, most patients check in monthly so we can re-measure and adjust as they go.

How long until I get my lab results?

We'll schedule your review as soon as they're back.

I've been evaluated somewhere else. Is this worth repeating?

Usually, yes — particularly if nobody measured your body composition or ran a full hormone and thyroid panel. Bring whatever records you have and we'll build on them rather than starting from zero.
